Arjun Chakrabarty, a new shining star among the "Notun Bengali's". No one sees him coming. But he has made a great impact on his first big project at television "Ganer Opare". Arjun played the lead role as "Gora"  in this almost one year long serial and become the new heart-throb of his generation. 

Arjun, presently a student in 3rd year Mass Communication at St Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Another thing that make him above average is his father Sabhyasachi Chakrabarty, a renowned actor mainly know to the fans by the name of his very popular film "Feluda". 


Arjun was recognized by Prosenjit Chatterjee for the lead role in Ganer Opare. He has won the Star Jalsa Pariwar award as an Upcoming star for his mind blowing performance on Ganer Opare. Arjun has shown the film industry that he has every ingredient to become a success in big screen too.

His elder brother Gaurav Chakraborty also cast in an important role on Ganer Opare as "Deep". A very interesting chemistry between their characters on Ganer Opare made their fans fight all day long among the communities over Social networks like Facebook, Orkut for deciding the best one of them. 

Personal Life: In a recent interview by a popular Bengali magazine "Unis Kuri" Arjun said, "Amar steady girlfriend ache, sei school theke". But, he did not mention her name. 

With Fans: Arjun join his fans club at face book and said, "Thank you for all your appreciation and support. Aami regularly aapnader messages porhi... Onek dhonyobad aapnader shobai ke. Asha kori bhobishyot eo aamar kaaj aapnader bhalo lagbe."
